In keeping up with the traditional blessings given to the students of Board Classes, Satyanarayan Katha and Aashirvachanam Ceremony were organised on February 7 and 8 in our school.

On Februaly 7, students of Std X and XII , elegantly dressed in white outfits, attended the Satyanarayan Katha in temple lawns to invoke the blessings of Goddess Saraswati and prayed for the gracious blessings of the divine deity. They collected Prasad after the pooja.

On February 8, the much awaited and anticipated ceremony to bless the outgoing class XII was solemnised in presence of parents, teachers and guests. The evening was devoted to solemn and sombre ambience created when the students entered the venue in procession with the Chief Guest Pujya Ishtamayananda ji and Principal Shri Rajeev Kumar Singhal taking the lead and followed by all the students of Std XII and the teachers. After the traditional lighting of the lamp to invoke the blessings of Goddess Saraswati, the Principal welcomed the gathering and gave valuable tips to the students on acquiring leadership qualities in a mindful way.

On a soulful musical note, students lined up to get their lamps lit by the, Chief Guest Pujya Ishtamayananda ji and the Principal Shri Rajeev Kumar Singhal. Traditional tilak was applied by Mrs Nidhi Singhal and a flower bud was given by Mrs Archana Khamar. Amidst Sanskrit chanting, they were exhorted to lead a virtuous and upright life.

The Chief Guest, Pujya Ishtamayananda ji from Ramakrishna Mission Vivekanand Memorial delivered a religious discourse on sermonising students to be hardworking and optimistic in life situations. Citing real life examples, he urged students to remain focussed and use all opportunities available to be a contributor to the society. He further guided the students to be honest, ethical and hardworking. To nurture these qualities one must have confidence and will power. He advised the students that they must have absolute faith in God in accomplishing their tasks and remain on life rather online.

He was felicitated by the Principal Shri Rajeev Kumar Singhal.

The ceremony ended when students took the blessings of their teachers and parents by touching their feet and being reminisced of time spent in school.

They were given a copy of Bhagvad Gita, the ultimate guide to a purposeful life, and a certificate with an inspirational message as a souvenir.

Vote of thanks was proposed by the Head Boy and the Head Girl.

All the invitees were present in the temple lawn for dinner and final adieu.

The ceremony was planned and executed under the co-ordination of Mrs Namrata Mahendra.
