Glory and Grandeur-Republic day Celebrations - Jan 26, 2020

 Students, parents and teachers of Bhavan’s V.M.Public School celebrated India’s 71st Republic Day on Sunday with great patriotic fervour and glory on the school hockey ground. The Chief Guest for the occasion Principal Shri Rajeev Kumar Singhal arrived along with his wife Smt Nidhi Singhal. He unfurled the tricolour which was followed by the National Anthem. NCC Sergeants led him for inspection of the parade which comprised of NCC platoon and the platoon of four houses.

Later he took the salute of impressive platoons which marched past the guests on the synchronised beats of drum. Speaking on the occasion the Chief Guest Principal Shri Rajeev Kumar Singhal greeted the parents, students and staff and addressed the key issues of health, responsibility towards work and cautious use of social media. He urged the audience to be conscious towards the duty and not to surrender to the devil present in us. He emphasised on the need to think deeply and act cautiously and cultivate a strong value system for the benefit of mankind.

Student speaker Ms Kruti Patel of Std IX highlighted the significance of the day and motivated students to be duty bound towards the nation. Patriotic song by the choir group reverberated patriotism in the environment. There was a folk dance competition among the four houses in Junior and Senior category which strengthened the diverse cultural heritage in a unified musical symphony. The prize distribution ceremony honoured the students on securing cent percent marks in board exams and attendance during the last academic session. In special awards category, Vashisht House was adjudged as the best march past house, Kabir House as the best sports house and Janak House as the Champion house.

Master Yagna Nijhawan of Std XI proposed the vote of thanks and the programme came to an end with distribution of sweets.
