INVESTITURE CEREMONY REPORT
“Leadership is the capacity to translate vision into reality”. The Investiture Ceremony of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s, V.M. Public School, Vadodara for the academic session 2019-2020 was held with great pomp and dignity in a special ceremony on the school assembly ground on 6th July 2019. The event was presided over by the Principal, Shri Rajeev Singhal and was conducted with a high degree of earnestness and passion.
The Investiture Ceremony signifies the reliance and confidence that the school consigns in the newly invested office bearers. Donning the mantle of accountability, they also pledge to bestow their duties to the best of their abilities.
The ceremony was held with lots of zeal and zest. It was commenced with the school band giving a ceremonious welcome to the Principal who was escorted with two NCC cadets to the stage on the assembly ground, followed by the school prayer. The school council members were conferred upon with sashes and badges by the Principal and the flags were handed over, a symbolic representation of handing over the responsibility to the new office bearers. The Principal administered the oath to the leaders. After taking the oath, the respective house prefects were handed over with the house flags. The newly appointed head girl and head boy addressed the gathering promising to be good leaders and shouldering their responsibilities efficiently. The Principal thereafter advised the student council to discharge their duties sincerely and nurture their fellow schoolmates into becoming good leaders in future. Only then, he emphasized, true leaders are made. The function concluded with a vote of thanks and the National Anthem.
